IndiGo announced the launch of new, direct flights between Delhi and Colombo, marking a significant expansion in the airline’s international network.
Starting March 29, 2026, the IndiGo Delhi Colombo Flight will operate six times a week using Airbus A320 aircraft, offering seamless and convenient travel options for passengers.
The introduction of the IndiGo Delhi Colombo flight is expected to further enhance connectivity between India and Sri Lanka, two nations that share deep historical, cultural, and economic ties.
Improved air connectivity through the IndiGo Delhi Colombo Flight is anticipated to boost bilateral trade and tourism between the neighboring countries.
IndiGo will now operate over 55 weekly flights to Colombo from five major Indian cities – Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi.
The expansion of the IndiGo Delhi Colombo Flight network complements the airline’s existing connectivity, including 10 weekly flights linking Chennai and Tiruchirappalli to Jaffna.
This strengthened footprint reinforces IndiGo’s presence in Sri Lanka while continuing to deliver affordable, reliable, and hassle-free travel experiences.

Passengers planning to travel on the IndiGo Delhi Colombo Flight can make bookings via IndiGo’s official website, mobile app, or authorized travel partners.
